Register for The 2026 Summer String Ensemble

The 2026 Summer String Ensemble is open to all violin, viola, and cello students who have at least three years of experience on their instruments. This ensemble will explore a diverse repertoire ranging from standard string ensemble works to classical pieces. Students will enhance their ensemble playing skills by developing their listening and musicality.

Program Details

• Instruments: Violin, viola, and cello

• Level: Intermediate, with 3+ years of private lesson experience

• Duration: 7 week program

• Class Length: 90 minutes per session

• Registration ends: July 4th, 2026

Rehearsal Dates:

Tuesdays 4:pm- 5:30pm

(7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4, 8/11, 8/18)
OR

Thursdays 1:00pm- 2:30pm

(7/9, 7/16, 7/23, 7/30, 8/6, 8/13, 8/20)
 

Tuition:

• Song of Songs Students: $480 (performance included)

• Non-students: $600 (performance included)
  (non-refundable for absences/cancelation)

Audition Requirement:​
(No in-person audition required)

• Violin: 

1. Seitz Concerto No.5 in D Major, Op. 22, mvt.3 (measure 60-108)

        *with written fingering on Suzuki Book 4

   2. 3 two-octave scales

• Viola: 

1. Vivaldi Concerto in D minor (measure 35-59)
   *with written fingering on Suzuki Book 4

2.  3 two-octave scales

• Cello:

     1. J.B. Breval Sonata in C Major mvt. 1 (measure 40-67)

          *with written fingering on Suzuki Book 4 

    2. 3 two-octave scales
