Some incredible NEWS from ABRSM
University/College entrance:
Many universities and colleges around the world recognize ABRSM’s advanced qualifications. Whether used as a benchmark for admission, to support application review, or to gain credit towards a degree, these qualifications can help support and open pathways to higher education internationally. Click below table groups international universities and colleges by country and shows where ABRSM qualifications are.
Collaboration with the Advanced Placement (AP®):

AP Music Theory students may be interested in further examinations focused on music performance. The AP Program recommends that educators and students consider the suite of Music Performance examinations administered by ABRSM. Specifically, students who earn scores of 3 or higher on AP Music Theory may use this result to satisfy the pre-requisite for ABRSM’s most advanced music performance exams: grades 6, 7, and 8. In other words, AP Music Theory students who earn a score of 3 can move directly from AP
Music Theory into taking ABRSM’s Grade 6, 7, and 8 Performance exams.
AP encourages colleges and universities across the United States to recognize, through credit, ABRSM’s suite of advanced music theory and performance examinations, specifically Grade 8 in Music Performance/Practical Music and the ARSM Diploma in Music Performance.
